Community Charter

MDN brings together Moroccans of the World from different professional backgrounds, countries and generations. This diversity is what gives the network its value. It calls for a few shared rules.

1. Present yourself as you are

Everyone registers under their real identity, with an accurate background. A directory is only as good as the accuracy of what it contains.

2. Address others with respect

Disagreement is useful, personal attacks are not. Abusive, discriminatory or humiliating remarks have no place here, however they are dressed up.

3. Contribute rather than promote

The platform is not an advertising medium. Share analysis, job offers, calls for projects, and experience feedback. Avoid repeated commercial promotion, mass solicitation via private messaging, and disguised recruitment.

4. Verify before sharing

Information shared within the network reflects on everyone's credibility. Cite your sources when relaying a figure or a decision.

5. Keep the network free of partisan disputes

MDN is a space for expertise, not a campaign platform. Domestic political debates, whether Moroccan or from the country of residence, and religious controversies have no place here. Public policy issues are addressed within the commissions, from the standpoint of proposals.

6. Respect the work and image of others

Do not publish a third party's content without crediting the author. Do not share a photograph of someone without their consent. Do not claim a member's project as your own.

7. Keep confidential matters confidential

Exchanges via private messaging and unpublished commission work remain internal. What is shared within a limited circle is not meant to leave it.

8. Report what's problematic

A report button is available on every post. It is meant to flag breaches of this charter. A disagreement of substance is not one.

In the event of a breach

The MDN team reviews reports. Depending on severity, it may remove the content, issue a warning, suspend the account, or terminate it. The member concerned is informed and may submit comments to contact@moroccandiasporanetwork.com.

One final note

These eight points do not cover every case. If in doubt, ask yourself whether you would say the same thing in front of the people concerned.

Failure to comply with this charter exposes the person responsible to the measures set out in Article 8 of the Terms of Use, ranging from content removal to account termination.

The member directory and network content may not be extracted or reused outside the platform, for any purpose whatsoever.
